Can’t See Me! Our New Mossy Oak Teepee Launch
Introducing the “Can’t See Me” Teepee: A Limited-Edition Camo Hideout for Summer Adventures
I was wandering through the fabric store, not really looking for anything in particular, when I stumbled across a Mossy Oak camo print — and instantly thought, “Yep, summer is here!” I immediately pictured backyard adventures, family campouts, and endless games of hide-and-seek. Even better, there were three different Mossy Oak fabrics to choose from, and I knew I had to bring this idea to life.
If your kids are anything like mine, they’re always on the move and love sneaking off to their own little hiding spots. That’s when the idea struck me: Why not create a teepee that blends right into nature? A camo hideout where kids can disappear into their own world of imagination.
So, I’m excited to announce a special limited-edition launch:
🌿 Freestyle Mossy Oak Camo Teepees 🌿
They’ll be available on the website starting August 2, 2025 — just in time for late-summer adventures and perfect for cozy fall campouts or even hunting season. These are one-time creations and will only be available until the fabric runs out!
Behind the Scenes: How It Came Together
When I started cutting into the fabric, I realized the camo print was directional — something I hadn’t noticed right away! That small detail completely changed my cutting layout, and I ended up a little short for the door panel. Instead of scrapping it, I pivoted and tried a new door design, which actually turned into something I love even more. It was one of those creative surprises that only happen when things don’t go to plan.
And here’s the funny part: I always mean to take behind-the-scenes photos or videos… but between sewing, mom life, and chasing after little ones, I always forget. By the time I realize it, the project’s already finished!
Details That Make It Special
Top of the Teepee:
Since this design is all about blending in, I made sure the tops of the dowels are covered, keeping that hidden-in-the-trees look seamless and natural.
Matching Floor Cushion:
Because the print was directional, I had more leftover fabric than expected. I wanted a coordinating floor cushion, but didn’t have quite enough to match perfectly. So I got creative and mixed in a second fabric — and I actually love the result. It adds a little twist while still keeping the full “outdoorsy” vibe.
A Family Affair
Every step of this project had a little help from my family. My son tried to help me cut the fabric (with supervision, of course!), and my daughter… well, she tried to help with the photography. Let’s just say she made her way into more than a few shots!
But honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love involving my kids. I want them to grow up watching creativity in action — and maybe even becoming more creative than I am one day.
The “Can’t See Me” Mossy Oak teepee is one of those projects that came together through inspiration, chaos, creativity, and love. I hope it brings just as much joy, imagination, and adventure to your home as it has to mine.
